Happy Canada Day! This is my first Canada Day as a full-fledged Canadian citizen and I feel I have a lot to be grateful for today. I’m especially proud of the inspiring and generous leadership of our country that shares my own values, like respect for all people, the importance of family life and preserving our natural environment. I hope you are all enjoying a beautiful summer wherever you are!
Here’s what I’m up to this summer:
The World Spine Care Yoga Project is thriving! I’m happy to report that classes are going even better than anticipated with regular attendees and more than 20 students per class. The project is flourishing thanks to the support of the World Spine Care Clinical supervisors and the enthusiastic teachers sharing yoga with their communities. We are already planning for the next phase of our training.
I’m planning for a 200-hour teacher training in Halifax this September. This is the only training in alignment-based, heart-centered hatha yoga in Nova Scotia. I’ve been offering trainings for almost 10 years now and each one keeps getting better! It’s always a rich, unique and a life-changing journey for everyone. I’m teaming up with Leanne Whiting and Lara Frankcom and we are super excited to begin this program.
Registration is open for the fall edition of the Skilful Yogi Teacher Mentoring Program, with local host groups in Halifax and Montreal’s West Island. Once again, recent participants have shared that they have achieved significant improvement in their teaching from the course. And, they’ve received more support and input than they thought possible with an online course. The format is new and improved this time around, and I’m excited to begin sharing it.
Enjoy your practice and I wish you a wonderful, refreshing summer!
