Sacred Embodiment, Navigating the Paradox of Yogic Life

Lakshmi Living Arts, Trumansburg, New York

Thursday, November 8, 2018

It’s fascinating, isn’t it, this idea that in yoga we’re asked to investigate both the mundane, physical level of our existence AND the transcendent, mystical aspects of ourselves? I’ve always found it pretty remarkable, and tricky. Yet, it’s a notion, a paradox really, that’s at the heart of many of the most important considerations for our practice, including: What is right effort? What does it mean to create balance? How does yoga help us not only to nurture our spiritual aspirations but also to function well in all areas of our lives?

We’ll explore all this and more in this session that includes asana practice, guided meditation, journaling, and group discussion.

It is with deep gratitude I thank you for the privilege of being in your remarkable yoga workshop this weekend. It feels like I learnt real yoga for the first time. I love the depth you challenge us to.
